The Dunedin Festival Dance
Dancers are in circles of three couples, with women on their partner's right.
Bars (32 bar hornpipe)
1-8 All dance six hands round and back (Fig.).
9-12 All face partners and dance back to back with them.
13-16 All turn partners giving right hands.
17-20 All dance right hands across (i.e. six hands) in a wheel.
21-24 The man with his hand underneath pulls the woman opposite (his new partner) under the hands of the others and they take promenade hold. The next man does the same, and the 3rd man pulls his new partner towards him. All keep dancing in a circular movement for all eight bars.
25-30 All promenade at random about the room.
31-32 Each couple joins up with another two couples to make a circle.
Repeat ad lib.
